Lachlan is currently offering handpan lessons at Brisbane’s favourite drum and percussion store, *Just Percussion* as well as beginner group classes in the inner city.

Private Tuition (Handpan, Drumming, Rhythm/Theory)

The handpan is a very personal instrument and one which Lachlan encourages you to explore on your own own as much as possible. Lachlan’s teaching style is open-minded and honest, and always comes back to mastering the fundamentals and your comfort zones.

Lachlan currently only offers “Intro to Handpan” sessions for those new to the instrument.

INTRO TO HANDPAN ($75*):
- Spend 45 mins with Lachlan learning the fundamental techniques, striking and layout of the instrument
- Discuss instrument purchase options, scales and sounds that best resonate with you
- Learn basic patterns to explore in your own time and to integrate into your practice
- Includes worksheet handouts & opportunity to purchase an instrument from Celestial Sound, which will be provided for the session

Handpan lessons cover touch, technique, patterns, improvisation, music theory, songwriting and all topics in between!

Workshops & Small Group Tuition

Please provide your details in the contact form to stay updated for ongoing group classes in Newmarket. Our First Touch sessions introductory began in 2022 and will continue on a sporadic basis (subject to numbers and room hire availability) in partnership with Australia’s premier handpan maker Celestial Sound.
