Testimonials

“The moment I heard this man play was a very significant moment in my life. It was not so long ago and it was the exact moment that I finally fell very deeply in love with myself. After years of deep hurt and personal struggles, this music lifted me to a complete new level of self-love and ultimate connection.

This is Lachlan’s intention with his music, to heal through his sounds and reach a wider audience. His complete authenticity with his delivery of these sounds contribute even more to the exceptional effects his music offers.”

“I was totally swept away as I closed my eyes and listened to every note and the amazing tones that lifted me up and everything else was taken away for the time you played. It was a moment in time I could never forget.”

- Kate (patient @ Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital)

After purchasing my first handpan and without any prior music knowledge, I quickly realised that if I was going to learn the handpan properly I needed help.

I reached out to Tim from Celestial Sound Handpans (who makes the most beautiful handpans in Australia) and he forward me the information to contact Lachlan Hawkins who teaches in Brisbane.

After a year and a half of lessons with Lachlan, some online and some face-to-face, I have now a much better understanding of this beautiful instrument and percussion theory. I feel that if I had not travelled this journey with Lachlan as my teacher by my side, my beautiful handpan would be sitting in the corner collecting dust.

Lachlan demonstrates patience and is committed to making lessons fun and knowledgeable and each lesson you leave feeling you have achieved something new....so thank you Lachlan for sharing your knowledge! I would not hesitate to recommend Lachlan Hawkins if you want to learn from one of the best and have fun doing it :-)
